The Reading/Writing Workshop provides students with powerful systematic support for the close reading of short complex texts with core lessons all in one place. Each volume introduces the week’s concept with photographs, interactive graphic organizers, videos, and more; teaches and models elements of close reading with shared short complex texts; allows for flexibility and efficient use of instructional time; and includes a grammar handbook in every volume starting at Grade K.

The curriculum of this course is based on the Art of Problem Solving Prealgebra coursebook. It effectively prepares students for the complexities of algebra and teaches strategic problem-solving techniques for prestigious middle school math contests such as MATHCOUNTS, MOEMS, and AMC 8. Challenging students beyond traditional middle school prealgebra, this course fosters deep mathematical understanding. It's ideal for ambitious students (5th grade or up) who have mastered pre-algebra.

The curriculum of this course is based on the book Art of Problem Solving- Introduction to Algebra (2nd edition). The course will cover most of the topics that are taught in the regular middle school Algebra 1 course in grade 8 or 9, and aims to challenge students for deep understanding of math concepts, such as counting & probability, geometry, and number theory. It is ideal for students who are looking for challenging math problems and/or systematically preparing middle/high school math contests. This course is suitable for driven students (5th grade or up) who have mastered the pre-algebra courses.

Students in the class will learn how to identify and organize main points, use appropriate language, improve vocal delivery, and practice visual presentation techniques that add richness and clarity to ideas. Join our specialized, small-sized drawing class taught by our beloved art teacher, Steven Reynolds - a renowned UK-based artist and animator with 15 years of experience in art teaching. This class is tailored to suit the preferences and interests of the group, allowing for a dynamic range of media and themes to be covered. Steven will guide students with expert demonstrations, exercises, and personalized critiques, helping them to enhance their technical skills and unlock creativity to develop a unique artistic style.

This class is taught by US Masters and Expert Players with 2200+ ratings, and 5+ years of teaching experience. Intermediate students should already be familiar with basic rules of chess, such as the types of pieces and what a checkmate is. They will learn how to take notation, which is the language of reading and writing chess. The teacher will cover classic and famous chess games that reinforce fundamentals and demonstrate typical attacking patterns. Students will be given several tactical puzzles to show their understanding. Students will learn basic and essential endgame techniques.
